Some people estimate that the 2000w LED underwater fishing lightsmarket is over 100 billion. This estimate is too optimistic. How big is the national Marine gold halide lamp market? I do not have comprehensive data on light boats in te country, so I can only use what I have seen in some fishing ports as an example.
There are about 400 fishing boats with light cover in Gangqiao Town, each boat is calculated with an average of 80 lights, and each light is calculated with 1000 yuan. Even if all the fishing boats in the fishing port replace all the gold halide lights with LED fishing lights, the expected total market of LED fishing lights in Gangqiao Town will be less than 100 million, only about 32 million. Moreover, it is not possible for all of them to be replaced by LED fishing lamps. Therefore, for Gangqiao Town, the expected market of LED fish lamp is more than 10 million. How many “Harbor bridge towns” are there in the country? 10 is a good order of magnitude. That is to say, LED set fish light can be expected of the total market is several hundred million this order of magnitude, no legend of over 100 billion.
Personally, I think it is the general trend that LED fish lamps save energy and environmental protection, and LED fishing lamps partially replace gold halide lamps. But will not be a comprehensive replacement of gold halide lamp? Personally, I don’t think so for at least a decade.
Let’s start with underwater lights: Although there are some mature LED underwater lights, the technology is only mature for underwater LED fishing lights up to 50m underwater. Generally speaking, the advantage of gold halide lamp in the field of underwater lamp is still very significant: the luminous efficiency is not much smaller than LED lamp, but the volume can be made smaller, which means that the pressure of water is less; The working voltage of the gold halide lamp is high, and the current flowing through the corresponding wire is small. Generally speaking, for the deep-water underwater lamp, the cable loss of the metal halide lamp is less than that of the LED underwater lamp.
Water light: Due to the good direction of LED fish-collecting lamp, it can illuminate the sea more effectively. In addition, the luminous efficiency of LED is slightly higher than that of gold halide lamp, so it is generally believed that 300W LED fish-collecting lamp can replace 1000W gold halide lamp. But with current technology, LED aquatic fish lamps must be equipped with heavy radiators. The heavy weight of the LED aquatic fishing lamp will cause fishermen to dare not hang the lamp too high. If hung too high, the center of gravity of the whole boat will be increased, and the safety performance of the boat will be reduced. As mentioned above, the higher the lamp is hung, the larger the illuminated area will be. The halogen lamp is suitable for hanging on a higher position, which can effectively attract some fish from farther away to the lamp boat.
The light from the halogen lamp, which does not shine on the sea effectively, can be used to announce the fishing territory to nearby fishing boats. Relatively speaking, the gold halide lamp has a wide visual range.
Therefore, in terms of the current LED light and its heat dissipation technology, it is impossible to fully replace the LED fish lamp in the near future. The height of the LED fish lamp can be installed is relatively low, and it can be installed on the side of the ship to replace part of the metal halide fishing lamp. If used properly, it can not only save energy and reduce emissions, but even increase the catch, save energy and increase income.

LED fishing lamp cannot completely replace gold halide lamp in nearly 10 years, but it can be partially replaced.
